About Agroseeds

Register with Agroseeds

In much of the world, there are millions of underequipped farmers and millions of hectares of underused arable land in emerging markets like Nigeria. Meanwhile, the demand for high-quality organic agricultural crops such as maize, soybeans, cowpea, sorghum etc gets higher day after day in the poultry feed production space.

UN research states that crop yields need to double within 40 years in order to keep up with world population growth. The FAO said that our food production will have to increase by 70 percent for an additional 2.3 billion people by 2050.

That’s why we need a new way to create scalable and efficient farming industry.

What we do

Agroseeds by birdpreneur is specifically targeted at changing lives of small scale farmers in the rural areas growing important crops that are mostly needed in the poultry industry. Training and mentoring these farmers on international agro best practices to increase yield, efficiency, and sustainability, by providing them with access to farm-investments through agro crowdfunding for cultivation and creating market access to increase their income. Through Agroseeds Online Grain Marketplace, we help farmers to sell their produce directly to poultry feed manufactures to solve the problems of post harvest losses and create access to market for small scale farmers by connecting them to buyers from around the world.

How it works

We Pool Funds from Individuals such as Nigerian working class and Impact Investors.

We put in these Funds on a farm and the local farmer (maize, soybeans, cassava etc) for a predefined cycle

The smallholder farmer focuses on the one thing they know best – Farming

Profit is split between investor, rural farmer and AGROSEEDS in the ratio of 40:40:20

We manage how these funds are spent on the Farm

We Source for, and provide logistics services to transport Produce to the offtakers
